Deep-Tech Software

Deep Layer Lab stands as a boutique research and development firm dedicated to understanding and mitigating emerging threats born from additive manufacturing. We are a uniquely Central European vendor — part artisanal manufacturer, part training and consulting provider, and part software and deep-tech enterprise.

Our mission is to bring clarity to a rapidly shifting security landscape by uniting the digital and the physical into one coherent capability.

At the Lab, we design and build high-fidelity, handcrafted training aids for law enforcement, security agencies, detection companies, and training organisations; immersive training programmes and advisory services grounded in real-world intelligence and open-source data; and advanced software tools that recognise, analyse, and map 3D-printed and improvised weapon systems across both online ecosystems and physical evidence.

We turn data into insight, blueprints into patterns, and complexity into clarity. Through this integrated approach, we guide partners beneath the surface, beyond the code, and between the layers.

Beneath the surface. Beyond the code. Between the layers.

Enhancing global security through innovative technology — equipping law enforcement and security agencies with tools to meet the challenges posed by weapons created through additive manufacturing.

Infrastructure

Four integrated platforms forming a complete detection, training, intelligence, and learning ecosystem for emerging additive manufacturing threats.

SYS-001  /  AI Detection Platform
ORBIS
Object Recognition Based Identification System

ORBIS brings AI-assisted, image-based identification to both frontline operators and forensic specialists. It recognizes 3D-printed components from edge- or mobile-device images and links physical parts to known models, design families, and accompanying information.

ATLAS
Additive Threat Library & Archive Solutions

Each ATLAS model is manufactured, printed, and hand-built in our Central European facility, reflecting the artisanal character of the Lab.

Cutaway Series Sectioned models revealing internal geometry and mechanical logic, providing exceptional value for recognition, familiarization, forensic learning, technical demonstrations, and evidence interpretation.
Blue Series Life-size, completely inert display models designed for identification, awareness training, and classroom instruction. Safe, durable, and supported by a firearm expert opinion from a CIP-member Proof House, provided on request.
Red Series X-ray–accurate screening models engineered with internal inserts that replicate realistic X-ray signatures. Designed for aviation security, border screening, and red-team exercises. Fully inert and independently proof-tested. Expert opinion available on demand.

ARGUS
Analytical Research & Graph Utility Suite

ARGUS is our analytical engine for mapping the online ecosystem of 3D-printed weapons and their associated communities. It ingests large datasets of releases, designers, remixes, channels, comments, and documentation — visualizing their relationships through graph-based mapping of designs, communities, and dissemination patterns.

ALBA
Modular Learning Environment — Online Curriculum

Our online learning system provides a structured pathway for scalable, repeatable training. Awareness modules introduce the foundations of digital design, additive manufacturing, and the broader security context surrounding 3D-printed firearms. Recognition modules develop the ability to identify components, assemblies, design families, and behavioral patterns across the 3DPF ecosystem.
